Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge

The Campbell Family is credited with the largest single donation of land in United States history- the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge, located in Socorro County, New Mexico on both sides of Interstate 25. Comprised of 220,000 acres, almost 350 square miles, the site represents a very important resource to the environmental and biological science community. The property was donated to the Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service in 1974, and has since been used for habitat preservation and scientific investigations in the fields of biology, ecology and geology.
